Lania graduated summa cum laude with a BSc in Physiotherapy from the University of the Western Cape in 2017. She has worked in a range of clinical settings both locally and abroad, including two years in the Netherlands, before returning to South Africa in 2023.
After relocating home, she worked with professional golfers at the Sunshine and co-sanctioned golf tournaments, providing on-site treatment and recovery support. In 2024, she completed her Master’s degree through Stellenbosch University, with her research published in the BMC
Sports Science, Medicine and Rehabilitation journal.
Lania has a strong interest in the rehabilitation of dancers, with a deep understanding of the physical demands of dance and a focus on injury prevention, performance optimisation, and safe return to training. She is also a certified STOTT Pilates instructor (Mat and Reformer) and has spent the past year at a Pilates-based rehabilitation centre in Cape Town, integrating Pilates principles into her physiotherapy practice.
Currently, she is specialising in pelvic health physiotherapy, supporting clients through all life stages with a holistic and evidence-informed approach. Lania is passionate about helping people feel confident in their bodies and reach their individual goals.
Outside the clinic, she enjoys staying active, spending time outdoors, and staying connected to the performing arts.
